Job Summary
The R&D Intern will support the Research & Development team in creating and improving innovative products. This role involves assisting in product development, conducting testing, analyzing market trends, and supporting cost and process optimization to ensure product quality and business success.
Key Responsibilities:
New Product Development
- Support the development of new product ideas and concepts aligned with business goals.
- Assist in brainstorming and innovation activities for new product initiatives.
Product Testing & Quality Control
- Conduct product testing to evaluate quality, taste, and performance (if food-related).
- Assist in ensuring products meet quality standards and specifications.
Market Research & Trend Analysis
- Research market trends, customer preferences, and competitor products.
- Support the team in applying insights to product development strategies.
Cost Management (COGs)
- Assist in calculating basic cost of goods (COGs) for new products.
- Support cost analysis to ensure product profitability and efficiency.
Process Improvement
- Support initiatives to improve production processes and workflows.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain product development documents and reports.
- Ensure accurate documentation of testing results, formulations, and processes.
Qualifications:
- Currently in the 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in product development and innovation.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good communication skills in Thai and/or English.
