KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Job summary:
To assist the Director of Revenue in the supervision of all activities pertaining to the Reservation Department to achieve the highest possible occupancy and average daily rate levels for the purpose of maximizing revenues and profit.
Responsibilities – (Key activities)
Administration:
• To constantly review task processes and staff productivity in ensuring that work standards are consistently met.
• To handle staff scheduling and administrative report requirements.
• To handle special projects delegated by the Director of Revenue.
• To ensure that all office correspondence is filed properly.
Organization:
• To take charge of the department on Property.
• To provide hands-on training for staff on a continuous basis.
• To implement reservation procedures and measure performance against results.
• To assist the Director of Revenue in updating the Reservations manual on a regular basis.
Communication:
• To coordinate reservations requirements with the respective departments.
• To keep the Director of Revenue informed of staff progress, operational changes, problems, complaints etc.
Room Inventory Control:
• To alert Director of Revenue if any sudden fluctuations in occupancy levels.
• To monitor group reservations activities and cut-off schedules.
• To manage room availability across all distribution systems to maximize sales opportunities and minimize regrets build-up.
• To implement inventory control and selling strategies as dictated by the Director of Revenue.
• To monitor free sale allotments and release unused space based on cut-off schedules.
• To review all arrivals during tight periods to minimize unexpected wash or attrition.
Yield Management
• To monitor call handing so that opportunities in upselling are maximized.
• To closely monitor tight dates and give recommendations to Director of Revenue on yield opportunities.
• To monitor room sales based on rate strategies to increase revenues.
Forecasting
• To assist Director of Revenue in generating weekly/monthly forecasts.
• To track actual versus forecasted figures to provide pick-up history.
E-commerce
• To assist Director of Revenue monitoring inventory and rates on all online channel to maintain rate parity and also handling for the agents commission payment to ensure all is accurate and matches with the guest's actual stay.
Others
• To foster a high level of morale amongst the Reservation staff.
• To assume other duties as delegated by the Director of Revenue

Qualifications: University
Experience : Minimum 3 years of related work experience, preferably in luxury hotels
