Position Title: Indian Restaurant Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Indian Restaurant Manager to lead our all-day dining Indian restaurant. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Indian cuisine, have a strong background in restaurant management, and be committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests. As the Restaurant Manager, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant and bar operations, including staff management, customer service, inventory control, and financial performance. Experience in setting up a restaurant, from pre-opening preparation to operational launch, is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant and bar staff, ensuring a high level of service and professionalism.
- Set performance expectations, conduct regular staff meetings, and provide coaching and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Customer Service:
- Ensure that all guests receive outstanding service and have a memorable dining experience.
- Address customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor guest feedback and take action to enhance the restaurant's reputation.
Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant and bar operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and waitlist to optimize table turnover.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the restaurant.
Menu and Beverage Management:
- Collaborate with the chef to develop and update the menu, ensuring it reflects authentic Indian cuisine and seasonal offerings.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food and beverage costs.
- Curate a diverse and appealing wine and beverage list.
Financial Management:
- Monitor and control restaurant expenses, including labor, food, and beverage costs, to achieve budgetary goals.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements.
- Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and liquor laws.
- Maintain necessary licenses and permits for the restaurant and bar.
Marketing and Promotion:
- Initiate the marketing and social media plan and execute promotional events and marketing campaigns
- Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers and vendors.
Required Qualification & Skill Set:
- Extensive experience in F&B operations.
- Previous experience as a General Manager in Indian restaurants.
- Preferably with experience working in Thailand.
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and familiarity with Indian culinary traditions.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficient in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of inventory management and cost control.
- Social Media and Marketing knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Education and Certification:
- Graduate of ITC hospitality training. (preferred).
