Role Summary:

The Retail Audit & Loss Prevention Manager will lead the company's efforts in auditing retail operations and implementing strategies to prevent loss, mitigate risk, and ensure compliance across all stores. This position reports directly to the Head of Finance/Operations and collaborates with store management, finance, and operations teams to safeguard company assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute audit plans covering retail operations, inventory management, and financial processes.
  • Lead loss prevention programs, including fraud detection, shrinkage control, and operational risk mitigation.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate incidents, discrepancies, or irregularities and provide detailed reports with recommendations.
  • Conduct training and awareness programs for store teams on loss prevention and compliance best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  • Analyze audit findings to identify trends and propose proactive measures to minimize losses.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a small team of audit or loss prevention officers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 35 years of experience in retail audit, compliance, or loss prevention.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, inventory control, and risk management best practices.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a startup or fast-growing retail environment.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and ERP software.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or equivalent certification is a plus.
