Job Description

We're hiring: Retail Design & Development Executive

Location: Bangkok (Rama 3), Thailand (on-site)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead retail store and interior design development for all brand stores in alignment with brand requirements and principal guidelines.
  • Translate global brand concepts and principal design direction into commercially viable retail store formats suitable for nationwide rollout in Thailand, while initiating and developing localized design adaptations that remain consistent with brand DNA.
  • Develop comprehensive store layout plans including zoning strategy, customer traffic flow, fixture placement, material specifications, lighting concepts, and space optimization.
  • Produce detailed store drawings, 3D renderings, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and complete technical documentation for new store openings, renovations, and refresh projects.
  • Ensure full compliance with brand design standards, mall regulations, landlord requirements, and local construction codes.
  • Coordinate closely with contractors, suppliers, and project management teams to ensure timely and cost-effective store execution.
  • Manage nationwide store rollout projects including flagship stores, shop-in-shop formats, department store counters, and pop-up store formats.
  • Oversee CapEx utilization in collaboration with Procurement, ensuring cost efficiency, budget discipline, and high design quality across all projects.
  • Partner closely with Brand Directors and Brand Managers to ensure store concepts accurately reflect brand positioning, target consumer segments, and price architecture.
  • Collaborate with the VM team to ensure seamless integration between permanent store structure and seasonal visual merchandising execution.
  • Evaluate new store feasibility, space utilization efficiency, and commercial viability from both design and operational perspectives.
  • Establish standardized store format guidelines to support scalable and efficient nationwide expansion.
  • Lead renovation and store refresh initiatives to enhance customer experience, brand consistency, and sales productivity per square meter.
  • Monitor construction timelines, conduct quality inspections, and manage final handover processes to ensure execution excellence.
  • Stay updated on retail design trends, material innovation, construction technologies, and sustainability practices to continuously enhance store development standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum 510 years of experience in retail store development or commercial interior design.
  • Experience in fashion, lifestyle, or multi-brand retail environments is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of retail zoning strategy, customer journey mapping, and commercial space optimization.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent design software.
  • Proven experience managing contractors and overseeing construction processes.
  • Strong project management capability with experience in budget control and CapEx monitoring.
  • Knowledge of mall regulations, landlord requirements, and construction compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong cross-functional collaboration capability.
  • Detail-oriented, creative, structured, and execution-driven.
  • Able to travel for site visits, conduct store surveys, attend vendor factories, and supervise on-site installations during project launch and store openings.
