The Retail Strategy Manager is the Commercial Architect of the Retail division. This role is designed for a high-level strategist who uses Data Analysis and Financial control (P&L) to drive Integrated Marketing initiatives. You will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of retail campaigns and strategic projects that directly impact the brand's bottom line and market positioning.
1. Integrated Retail Marketing (Trade, Campaign, Marcom & Partnership)
- Trade Marketing: Design and execute in-store promotional strategies to increase Basket Size (UPT) and Average Ticket Size (ATV).
- Campaign Management: Lead the annual Retail Calendar, managing everything from Monthly Promotions to New Store Grand Openings to ensure consistent sales growth.
- MarCom (Marketing Communication): Oversee all in-store communication and POS materials, ensuring the brand's Scientific Beauty messaging is clear, premium, and impactful.
- Strategic Partnership: Secure and manage high-value collaborations (e.g., Credit Cards, Telcos, or Co-branding) to drive new foot traffic into physical stores.
2. Data Analysis & Business Intelligence
- Sales Performance Analytics: Conduct deep-dive analysis of daily/branch-level sales data to identify growth trends or troubleshoot underperforming locations.
- Marketing ROI Analysis: Track and measure the effectiveness of all marketing spend, ensuring every campaign delivers a positive return on investment.
- Consumer Insights: Leverage CRM and behavioral data to create segmented marketing strategies that increase customer retention and repeat purchases.
3. P&L Management & Financial Optimization
- P&L Accountability: Monitor the Profit & Loss statement for the Retail channel, tracking Revenue vs. OPEX to maintain healthy net margins.
- Cost Efficiency: Identify cost-saving opportunities in retail operations and marketing execution without compromising brand quality.
- Financial Forecasting: Partner with Finance to develop accurate sales forecasts and marketing budgets based on historical performance and market potential.
4. Strategic Project & Initiative Management
- Project Ownership: Act as the Project Lead for major retail transformations (e.g., Implementing VAT Refund systems, Digital Store integration, or New Concept Store launches).
- End-to-End Execution: Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and cross-functional teams to ensure Initiatives are delivered on time and within budget.
- Process Innovation: Proactively identify and launch initiatives to improve retail workflows and customer experience.
5. New Segment Opportunity & Market Expansion
- Market Opportunity Mapping: Identify and evaluate untapped market segments (e.g., B2B, Corporate Wellness, Niche demographics) to expand the brand's reach.
- New Revenue Streams: Pilot and launch initiatives to capture New Segments through innovative business models or strategic channel expansion.
- Expansion Strategy: Provide data-backed recommendations for geographic expansion (e.g., Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities) and lead the market entry strategy.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage strategic relationships with Landlords, Government agencies, or corporate partners to facilitate new growth opportunities
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years in Retail & Sales Strategy, Marketing, Business Development and Retail Operation (Retail background preferred).
- Skills: Expert in Data Analysis (Excel/BI Tools) and Financial Literacy (P&L/ROI).
- Competencies: Strong Commercial Sense, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of managing complex projects.
