Job Description

The role involves supporting Derivative trade confirmation functions covering all asset class.

  • The role in a Risk Analyst/ Senior risk analyst position is with OTC Derivatives Drafting Team with an objective to look after production of documentation for OTC traded by Investment bank for various asset classes. Drafting team is responsible for the Affirmation, Drafting, Chasing, Indexing and Execution of Confirmations arising from the OTC trading of financial derivatives, in line with International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) regulations. It ensures that the trade representation in the confirmation matches banks internal risk bookings.
  • The team has a high focus on accurate and timely confirmation issuance in line with the ISDA definitions, CFTC and EMIR confirmations requirements. In addition, the team runs initiatives to standardize and streamline internal confirmation processes to increase accuracy, efficiency
  • The team is looking for enthusiastic analysts with a sound background Confirmation drafting role.
  • The job duties would involve but not limited to the below requirement:
  • Understanding the Confirmation drafting process in entirety for vanilla and structured products across asset classes.
  • Candidates with experience in bespoke confirmation are preferred
  • Products: OTC
  • Events: New, Life cycle events like Partial/Full termination, Final redemption, Novation, corporate actions etc.
  • Govern daily tasks/ processes- Drafting, Reviewing, Verification of trade queues and Validation of daily trade feeds
  • Assist in publishing daily/ weekly/ monthly MIS in time
  • Maintaining Green KRIs/ FED targets
  • Building relationships with businesses and counterparties to ensure that there is effective escalation
  • Ensuring timely escalations within the Operations groups and Middle Offices to ensure prompt resolution of exceptions
  • Understand needs and sensitivities of internal and external clients and proactively ensures these are met
  • Ensure Check List is updated for all daily tasks performed
  • Help in improving quality and reducing SLA on different types of trades and ensuring due diligence while drafting confirmations
  • Interpreting client business needs and translating them into operational requirements and targets
  • Minimum 4 years experience in working in Drafting role (Risk analyst/ Senior Analysts role with experience in bespoke confirmation drafting are preferred)
  • The candidate should have a good working knowledge of Vanilla Options, Swaps, Structured products & market terminologies
  • Thorough exposure to Confirmation drafting process
  • Conversant with ISDA standards & definitions
  • Quick learning ability and willingness to learn new products
  • Ability to Multi-task and to think out of box and coming up with process optimization ideas and assist in execution and successful testing of the same
  • Interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
