Role Overview
The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that DSGPay complies with all applicable laws and regulations related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF). The role requires a strong understanding of AML/CTF regulations and the ability to work closely with other departments such as legal, operations, and risk management to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in line with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and assess compliance risks, and design and implement appropriate controls to mitigate identified risks.
- Conduct AML/CTF customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, and ongoing monitoring in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Investigate unusual or suspicious transactions and prepare timely reports to relevant regulatory authorities.
- Provide guidance and advisory support to internal departments onAML/CTF obligations, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Develop and deliver mandatory AML/CTF training to employees, ensuring ongoing awareness and regulatory compliance.
- Stay current on changes to AML/CTF regulations and proactively advise senior management on potential impacts to the organisation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to continuously enhance the compliance framework while supporting a positive customer experience.
- Conduct compliance reviews of internal controls and processes, report findings, and recommend corrective actions to senior management.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports, filings, and documentation in accordance with regulatory authority requirements.
- Manage relationships with regulators and ensure accurate, timely responses to regulatory inquiries and examinations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Compliance, Business, Finance, or a related field (Master's or professional certification in compliance or AML/CTF is an advantage).
- 3-5 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, preferably within a compliance function.
- Strong desire to learn, grow, and develop within the compliance and regulatory field.
- Excellent analytical abilities with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Comfortable working in a multicultural environment and adapting to diverse challenges.
