As a member of the Freight Forwarding team Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimising processes, and fulfilling our customers promises. And by transporting medicines, toys and important machine parts, you are not only delivering goods, you are making small and big moments possible for people all around the world. You will be part of our Road Logistics team, adding your business development expertise + skills tothe delivery of customer + operational excellence.

How you create impact

You will be responsible for driving sales, revenue + gross profit (GP) through various sales channels whilemaintaining good relationships with our customers.
You will do this by collaborating with various key stakeholders while focusing on the following objectives.

  • To drive + manage development of our road logistics offerings.
  • To maintain market position by spotting opportunities, developing product offerings for new lanes + markets + annual biddings.
  • To ensure annual budgets, sales + GP targets are met within the given time frame.
  • To be the representative for operational reviews with vendors + customers.
  • To provide training, support process mapping + implement solutions.
  • To collaborate with other managers + departments in increasing cross-selling activities + success.
  • To work closely with sales teams in ensuring target growth is achieved.
  • To monitor operations, sales performance + ensure compliance with internal policies + external regulations.
  • To maintain data integrity in CoreLOG (Customer Relationship Management tool) through regular updates.

What we would like you to bring

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in logistics, supply chain, or related industry
  • Experience in handling pricing, RFQs, and proposal preparation
  • Able to manage a portfolio with a focus of 80% farming (account management) and 20% hunting (new business development)
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)/ Strong communication and presentation skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
