You will be part of our Road Logistics team, adding your leadership expertise + skills to the delivery of Customer + Operational excellence.
How you create impact
You will be responsible for overseeing + managing our business activities to achieve our business goals by ensuring top class operational efficiency, leading to increasing revenue generation + profit margins.
- To lead, expand + collaborate to achieve a structured roll out of our Centre of Excellence for Cross-border transport, along with haulage activities on a central platform.
- Drive capacity planning for both owned fleet and subcontractors to support growing volumes.
- Ensure team readiness to seamlessly manage new business opportunities.
- Maximize fleet efficiency across financial and operational dimensions. Implement strategies to balance cost control with service quality.
- Develop and sustain excellence in customer service, fleet management, LTL facilities, and customs operations. Establish best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage owned fleet P&L in line with targets. Monitor and improve turnaround times to meet operational benchmarks. Regularly review loss files and implement initiatives to reduce losses, including OPEX reduction programs.
- Actively roll out health and safety initiatives to promote driver well-being. Foster a culture of safety and compliance across all operations.
- To actively develop measures to improve our vendor management capability, reviewing + aligning resource allocation across different business activities to provide optimum service levels.
- To ensure efficient operational activities exist + are continuously optimized by implementing best practice.
- To be involved in the development + implementation of operational + reporting systems, including transport management systems (TMS) + application of new software.
- To manage + review operational policies, standards + procedures including integrating + implementing automation, technology + systems.
- To review incident/ crisis management ensuring effective business continuity plans are in place.
- To monitor the annual budget, initiating corrective actions in case of deviations

- The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, demonstrating a solid track record of responsibility, reliability, and performance in similar roles.
- The candidate must possess strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop team members across different functions and levels.
- The candidate should demonstrate a handson working style, showing willingness to be actively involved in daytoday tasks, problemsolving, and operational decisionmaking.
- The individual must have the ability to collaborate and engage effectively with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on operational goals and seamless coordination across departments.
- The candidate must possess fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, to facilitate clear reporting, stakeholder engagement, and daily communication.
