Client is a leading utilities provider in Singapore, seeking to hire a 1 Year Contract RTO / Resident Technical officer (M&E).
- Duration: 1 Year contract (5 days work)
- Salary: $5500 - $6500 (negotiable depending on relevant experience)
Your new role
We are seeking a RTO / Resident Technical Officer with experience in chilled water systems (preferable) to promote and enforce a strong safety culture on site, conduct toolbox talks, support safety inspections, and ensure contractor compliance with HSE requirements.
- Review construction documents including drawings, method statements, and material submissions.
- Oversee delivery, receipt, and inspection of materials and equipment, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Coordinate site access, logistics, and service routing activities.
- Supervise daily construction works, contractor activities, inspections, and site surveys to ensure compliance with project specifications and schedules.
- Perform installation and line checks to verify works meet contractual and approved drawing requirements.
- Monitor project progress, prepare status reports, resolve site issues, and support timely project delivery.
- Maintain site records, identify non-conformities, and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage defect identification, punch listing, rectification, and close-out activities.
- Witness and support testing, commissioning, site acceptance tests (SAT), and pre-commissioning activities.
- Review as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and support system handover to operations teams.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
What you'll need to succeed
- Diploma in Building, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized institution, with relevant experience in construction site supervision.
- Accredited as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) in Singapore, with a strong understanding of construction practices, engineering drawings, quality control, workplace safety requirements, and applicable statutory regulations.
