Role- RTR Manager (Close & Control, Reconciliations)
Responsibilities:
- Financial data management: Oversee the collection and organization of financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness for comprehensive reporting.
- Journal entry oversight: Supervise the preparation and posting of journal entries related to financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Reconciliation leadership: Lead the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
- Reporting management: Direct the preparation of periodic financial reports, ensuring accuracy and providing insights for strategic decision-making.
- Audit coordination: Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation and information related to financial records and transactions.
- Compliance assurance: Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance requirements related to record-keeping and financial reporting.
- Process improvement initiatives: Identify and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of record keeping and financial reporting processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- CA / CPA / M-Com / B-Com or Graduate in Finance
- Relevant years of experience in managing Insurance RTR processes
- Experience in working with an insurance client will be an added advantage
Preferred Skill Set:
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Experience with accounting software, like SAP, Blackline, etc.
- Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
- Self-starter, with ability to work under own initiative
- Strong time management skills
- Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
