Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Team Leadership & Management:
- Manage, coach, and motivate a team of Sales Representatives to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Monitor the team's performance through KPI tracking (e.g., visit frequency, successful calls, order size).
- Conduct regular Ride-alongs (Joint Visits) to coach team members on-site, ensuring they follow standard sales steps and negotiation techniques.
- Manage sales territory planning and route optimization to ensure maximum coverage.
2. Dealer Management & Relationship Building (TT Focus):
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key owners of building material shops and hardware stores (Key Dealers).
- Negotiate trade terms, shelf space, and stock levels to ensure our products are visible and available.
- Oversee the deployment of Color Mixing Machines and ensure dealers are active in utilizing them.
3. Sales Operations & Strategy:
- Analyze sales data to identify gaps, opportunities, and trends within the area.
- Expand the customer base by identifying and opening new potential dealer accounts.
- Implement trade promotions and marketing activities at the store level (Merchandising, Point of Sales Materials).
4. Credit Control & Collections:
- Crucial: Monitor credit limits and ensure timely debt collection from dealers to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Resolve issues regarding billing, delivery, or product claims effectively.
5. Market Intelligence:
- Monitor competitor activities (pricing, promotions, new products) in the local market and report back to the management team.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial role supervising a sales team.
- Industry Background:
- Must-have: Strong experience in Traditional Trade (TT) / General Trade (GT) channels.
- Highly Preferred: Experience in Construction Materials, Paint, Hardware, or FMCG businesses.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, discipline, and motivate a field sales team.
- Attributes: High mobility (able to travel within the assigned area), results-driven, and able to work under pressure.
- Requirement: Must possess a valid driving license.
