Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and quantify market opportunities; set sales targets based on customer analysis and market trend forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on the sales pipeline; quantify opportunities, update weekly achievements, and address issues or risks to ensure targets and profitability are met.
  • Conduct business intelligence and market analysis to prioritize high-value opportunities.
  • Maintain up-to-date information on customers, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Serve as the first contact for customers, initiating discussions for new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with customers on a technical level to understand requirements, document specifications, and define initial problem statements and Scopes of Work.
  • Partner with development and applications engineering teams to create automation concepts that meet customer needs and company profitability targets.
  • Work with internal teams to develop cost models and provide prompt responses to RFQs/RFPs.
  • Expand business contacts by engaging personal and professional networks, existing clients, prospective clients, and cold-calling; keep a target list of potential customers current.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, ensuring clear communication between company teams and clients to meet on-time delivery and project execution goals.
  • Conduct engaging sales presentations and plant tours.
  • Follow up with customers on service and quality feedback.
  • Comply with company business processes and Quality Management System standards.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Business Management, Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Equipment Automation Systems or Components sales application working experience.
  • Experiences in solutions sales approach to capital equipment/automation machinery projects.
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience of direct sales experience in industrial automation products or related products.
  • Relevant experience in: Industrial machine control systems, Industrial robots, Capital equipment or automation system.
  • Some working experiences in Hard disk drive industry will be preferred.
  • Good business acumen that is sensitive to different dynamics of decision makers through complex sales process.
