Role Overview
We are looking for a driven
Sales Development Representative (SDR) to accelerate customer acquisition by engaging and qualifying inbound leads, and converting them into high-quality opportunities.
You will be the
first point of contact for prospective customers - shaping their first impression of Teleport while ensuring that well-qualified opportunities move efficiently through the sales funnel. This role is a key driver of sales productivity and plays an important part in building foundational sales knowledge (scripts, FAQs, call insights) that supports future automation and scaling.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Engagement & Qualification
- Proactively engage inbound leads from paid campaigns via calls and messaging
- Qualify prospects based on defined criteria (use case, shipment volume, urgency, operational fit)
- Understand customer needs and position relevant Teleport solutions
- Schedule qualified meetings for the BD team with clear context and notes
- CRM & Process Excellence
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date deal records in HubSpot
- Log call outcomes, customer requirements, objections, and next steps
- Manage and prioritize 200+ active leads efficiently
- Ensure structured and complete handover to the BD team
- Customer Activation
- Reach out to new platform sign-ups to guide them toward placing their first order
- Address basic pricing, operational, and onboarding questions
- Identify and reduce early-stage customer friction
- Escalate complex issues to the relevant teams when needed
- Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Capture recurring customer questions, objections, and pain points
- Share insights with Product, Commercial, and Operations teams
- Contribute to the development of call scripts, FAQs, and sales playbooks
- Support improvements that increase lead-to-meeting and activation rates
Requirements
Qualifications
Experience
- 1 - 3 years of experience in sales, telesales, customer engagement, or lead qualification
- Experience handling high volumes of leads or customer interactions
- Exposure to logistics, e-commerce, SaaS, or marketplace businesses is a plus
- Experience using a CRM system (HubSpot preferred)
Skills
- Strong phone presence and written communication skills
- Good at understanding customer needs quickly
- Organized with strong follow-up discipline
- Comfortable managing multiple leads and conversations simultaneously
- Able to follow processes while adapting to different customer situations
- Basic data awareness - able to notice common patterns in conversations
