Job Description

Job Summary:

Sales Engineer – Lighting responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of lighting products, from defining technical specifications to ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards. Acting as a technical authority, the role leads cross-functional teams and specifies complete lighting systems for architects, developers, and contractors, while strategically developing new market opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Specification Leadership: Drive spec-in activities by working closely with architects, lighting designers, and electrical engineers to ensure company products are specified in project blueprints.
  2. Market Expansion: Identify and penetrate new market segments to drive business growth.
  3. Client Consultation: Deliver technical presentations to key stakeholders, including developers, contractors, and consultants.
  4. Sales Forecasting: Maintain an accurate project pipeline in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and provide regular updates, including win/loss analysis.
  5. Project Handover: Manage the transition of awarded projects to commissioning or project management teams, ensuring technical requirements are fully implemented on-site.

Job Specification:

  1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
  2. Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in lighting product development, with a proven track record of bringing fixtures from concept to mass production.
  3. Proficiency in DIALux and AutoCAD.
  4. Ability to interpret and communicate technical lighting data effectively.
  5. Ability to troubleshoot complex failures in the field or during the prototyping phase.
