Job Summary:
Sales Engineer – Lighting responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of lighting products, from defining technical specifications to ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards. Acting as a technical authority, the role leads cross-functional teams and specifies complete lighting systems for architects, developers, and contractors, while strategically developing new market opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Specification Leadership: Drive spec-in activities by working closely with architects, lighting designers, and electrical engineers to ensure company products are specified in project blueprints.
- Market Expansion: Identify and penetrate new market segments to drive business growth.
- Client Consultation: Deliver technical presentations to key stakeholders, including developers, contractors, and consultants.
- Sales Forecasting: Maintain an accurate project pipeline in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and provide regular updates, including win/loss analysis.
- Project Handover: Manage the transition of awarded projects to commissioning or project management teams, ensuring technical requirements are fully implemented on-site.
Job Specification:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in lighting product development, with a proven track record of bringing fixtures from concept to mass production.
- Proficiency in DIALux and AutoCAD.
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical lighting data effectively.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex failures in the field or during the prototyping phase.
