Job Summary
The Sales Engineer is responsible for selling gas systems and related equipment, providing technical support to customers, and developing new business opportunities. The role requires strong technical knowledge of gas systems combined with sales and customer relationship skills.
Responsibilities
- Promote and sell gas systems, gas pipelines, and related equipment to industrial and commercial customers
- Identify customer requirements and propose suitable technical solutions
- Prepare quotations, technical proposals, and presentations
- Coordinate with engineering and project teams to ensure proper system design and installation
- Conduct site surveys and provide technical consultation to customers
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and new customers
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs
- Prepare sales reports and update sales forecasts
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies related to gas systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field)
- Experience in sales engineering, gas systems, industrial systems, or related industries
- Knowledge of gas systems, gas pipelines, valves, regulators, or industrial equipment
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving and customer-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel to customer sites
- Good command of English (spoken and written)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in industrial gas systems or energy-related projects
- Experience working with EPC or industrial customers
- Driving license
Working Conditions
- Office-based with frequent visits to customer sites
- Occasional travel upcountry
