Role Description The Sales Executive – Groups & MICE is a full-time, on-site role based at Le Méridien Phuket Beach Resort in Phuket, Thailand. This role is responsible for prospecting, developing, and maintaining relationships with group and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) clients, including corporate accounts, travel agencies, and event organizers. Day-to-day activities include responding to inquiries, preparing proposals and contracts, conducting site inspections, and coordinating with operations, events, and revenue teams to ensure seamless delivery of group stays and events. The Sales Executive will manage sales pipelines, update CRM records, monitor market trends and competitors, and support the achievement of revenue and occupancy targets for groups and MICE business. The role also involves participating in sales calls, trade shows, and promotional activities, and representing the resort in a professional manner aligned with brand standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel sales, with a focus on groups and MICE, and strong skills in account management and relationship building.
- Ability to develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage the full sales cycle for meetings, incentives, conferences, and events.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; additional languages, especially Thai or other regional languages, are an advantage.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple inquiries, deadlines, and client requirements simultaneously.
- Comfort with using CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and basic office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email platforms).
- Knowledge of hospitality revenue drivers, basic understanding of pricing, and awareness of local and international MICE market trends.
- Customer-focused mindset, collaborative working style, and ability to coordinate effectively with operations, events, and front office teams.
- Previous experience in a resort or luxury hotel environment and familiarity with Phuket or similar leisure destinations is preferred.
