We are a leading manufacturer and distributor of machine tools, offering a wide range of high-performance products including die-casting machines, injection molding machines, machining centers, and lathes.
Role Summary
This is a strategic leadership position for a future General Manager (GM). You will be responsible for building and leading our Machine Tools Division (with a focus on machining centers and lathes) in Thailand. This includes establishing a new department, setting sales strategies, managing teams, and expanding our customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement mid-to-long-term sales strategies to grow machine tool business in Thailand.
- New Business Development: Identify and acquire new clients, particularly in automotive, electronics, and precision manufacturing sectors.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers.
- Sales Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead the local sales team to drive performance and maintain high motivation.
- Technical Sales & Consulting: Recommend machine tool solutions tailored to clients production needs and provide technical consulting.
- After-Sales Support: Set up systems for maintenance, spare parts, and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitor industry trends and competitors to adapt pricing and strategies effectively.
- Global Coordination: Collaborate with our Japan branch and China headquarters through regular reporting and strategic alignment.
- Sales Budget Management: Define annual and monthly targets, monitor KPIs, and implement necessary improvements.
- Contract Negotiation: Oversee end-to-end sales processes from pricing to contract finalization and delivery.
- Local Subsidiary Operations: Participate in broader business operations including HR, finance, and administration to improve overall performance.
Qualifications
- Thai nationality
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- 10+ years of sales experience in machine tools (particularly machining centers and lathes)
- Deep industry knowledge and professional network in machine tools
- Business-level English proficiency (TOEIC 750+)
- Proven management experience
- Must own a car and have a valid drivers license
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to communicate in Japanese and/or Chinese
