Job Scope

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales performance across beauty retail channels by leading and managing BA (Beauty Advisor) sales teams. This role focuses on retail execution, team productivity, and achieving sales targets through strong people management, in-store excellence, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Retail Performance

  • Lead and drive sales performance across beauty retail channels (e.g. department stores, specialty beauty retailers, counters).
  • Develop and execute retail sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Monitor sell-in and sell-out performance, productivity per BA, and store-level KPIs.
  • Analyze sales data, retail trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and risks.

BA Team Management

  • Manage, coach, and motivate BA Sales teams to ensure high performance and consistent brand standards.
  • Set clear sales targets, KPIs, and performance expectations for BA teams.
  • Conduct regular field visits, store coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of BA staff in collaboration with HR.

Retail Execution & Operations

  • Ensure excellent in-store execution including merchandising, product display, promotions, and brand image.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Trade Marketing teams to implement campaigns, launches, and in-store activities.
  • Coordinate with retailers on space management, promotions, and sell-through initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, retail standards, and operational procedures.

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates for management.
  • Work closely with internal teams (Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance) to support business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners and store management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in beauty retail industry only (cosmetics / skincare / beauty brands).
  • Proven experience in managing BA Sales teams in retail environments.
  • Strong understanding of beauty retail channels, counter operations, and consumer behavior.
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong coaching and people management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using sales data to drive decisions.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
