Our Client is a global speciality chemical manufacturer using science and technology to create innovative ingredients for a wide range of industries.

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Technical Sales Manager / Account Manager to join our team in Bangkok as an Individual Contributor. In this mid-level role, you will take full commercial and technical ownership of two key Business Units (BUs) in Thailand: Home Care (surfactants, green cleaning actives) and Industrial Specialties (coatings, polymer additives, lubricants).

This is not a purely commercial sales role; you will act as a consultative technical partner who is highly comfortable driving application-level discussions and solving complex technical problems directly with clients R&D and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Hands-on Technical Sales & Account Management

Drive Commercial Growth: Take full ownership of the sales pipeline to meet volume, revenue, and gross margin targets for both BUs in Thailand.

Direct Customer Problem-Solving: Lead in-depth technical and application-level discussions with clients formulation chemists to solve performance challenges using Croda's specialty ingredients.

Agile Portfolio Management: Rapidly learn, adapt, and drive sales activities across two highly distinct segments (Home Care and Industrial Specialties).

2. Autonomy & Market Intelligence

Lean Team Execution: Operate successfully as a highly autonomous individual contributor, comfortable managing client relationships and technical troubleshooting without relying on heavy back-end technical support.

Market Insights: Track local regulatory shifts, local sustainability trends, and provide accurate monthly sales forecasts.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related scientific discipline.

Experience: 5–8 years of B2B technical sales or account management experience in the specialty chemicals, ingredients, or materials sector.

Dual-Segment Exposure: Prior exposure to both Home Care / Cleaning and Industrial Specialties (Coatings, Lubricants, or Polymers) is highly preferred.

Technical Credibility: Proven ability to handle complex application discussions with formulation chemists and R&D teams directly.

Communication & Travel: Professional fluency in Thai and English (written and spoken) is required; willingness to travel to customer manufacturing and laboratory sites across Thailand.
