The Opportunity

We are supporting their business expansion by identifying and connecting high-caliber talent to strengthen their operations within the silicon and specialty materials industry.

Position Summary

Responsible for driving regional strategy, sales growth, technical support, innovation, and operational excellence within the Oil & Gas chemicals business across Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy

Support global product strategy implementation in the assigned region

Develop and execute regional business strategies (Oil / Asia Pacific)

Contribute to strategic initiatives across other segments when required

2. Sales, Marketing & Technical

Lead business development in Southeast Asia

Grow three key segments: Drilling Fluids, Cementing, and Stimulation in collaboration with Product Line Managers

Maintain strong customer relationships and promote technical solutions

Identify new prospects and expand customer base

Prepare quotations, manage pricing structures, and source new chemical products

Submit weekly and monthly sales reports

Utilize CRM system effectively and ensure accurate reporting

Negotiate and sign customer contracts

Develop case studies, lessons learned, and product documentation with marketing support

3. Innovation & Digitalization

Contribute to new idea generation and innovation initiatives

Develop commercial business cases for new products and projects

Support digital transformation initiatives locally

Coordinate with customers and academic partners on technical collaboration

4. Finance

Monitor receivables and support collection activities

Analyze revenue versus budget and present monthly performance reports

Identify cost-effective sourcing alternatives

5. Inventory Management

Collect sales forecasts from customers

Support inventory planning and safe stock level management

6. Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE)

Ensure operational compliance with quality and HSE standards

Support implementation of QHSE practices

Investigate customer complaints and non-conformities

7. Personnel Development

Provide coaching and technical training

Support recruitment and interview processes when required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, or related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial technical experience
  • Commercial: Marketing fundamentals, payment terms, risk management, negotiation skills
  • Technical: Knowledge of well cementing and drilling fluids operations and industry challenges
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills
  • IT: Proficient in MS Office, CRM systems, and data analysis tools
  • Language: Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel extensively
