Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Engagement & Lead Generation

• Identify and approach potential buyers through walk-ins, digital platforms, referral networks, and corporate tie-ups

• Utilize digital marketing, social media, classified websites, and CRM tools to generate and nurture leads.

• Participate in roadshows, exchange melas, dealership events, and corporate tie-ups to promote pre-owned car sales.

• Proactively follow up with inquiries and maintain a strong customer relationship pipeline. 

2. Understanding Customer Needs & Vehicle Recommendation 

Assess customer requirements based on budget, vehicle preferences, f inancing options, and trade-in possibilities.

• Recommend suitable vehicles from available inventory while ensuring a personalized buying experience.

• Provide expert guidance on vehicle features, specifications, history, and maintenance.

• Assist customers with test drives, vehicle comparisons, and pricing clarity. 

3. Sales Process & Negotiation 

Negotiate pricing, financing options, warranties, and value-added services to maximize sales and profitability.

• Clearly explain vehicle pricing, financing plans, insurance options, and exchange offers to customers.

• Handle objections, queries, and concerns professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction and deal closure.

• Work closely with the procurement team to align sales with market demand and stock availability. 

4. Documentation & Compliance 

• Ensure all transactions are supported by proper documentation, including: o RC transfer, insurance paperwork, loan processing, and warranty registrations.

• Guide customers through ownership transfer, RTO formalities, and legal requirements.

• Maintain compliance with company policies and government regulations. 

5. Achieving Sales Targets & Performance Metrics

• Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets through strategic selling.

• Maintain a high conversion rate from inquiries to successful transactions.

• Track and analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to optimize strategies.

• Regularly update CRM systems with lead status, sales progress, and customer interactions. 

6. Market Research & Competitive Analysis

• Stay updated on used car pricing trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences.

• Provide insights on popular vehicle models, demand-supply gaps, and emerging sales opportunities.

• Suggest new sales strategies to improve customer acquisition and retention. 

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in used car sales, preferably with organized auto dealerships, platform-based used car businesses, or company-owned pre-owned car programs.

• Sales & Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to close deals, build rapport with customers, and drive high-value sales.

• Technical & Market Knowledge: Understanding of used car valuation, f inancing options, insurance policies, and resale market dynamics.

• Process & Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with RTO processes, documentation, and vehicle ownership transfer.

• Digital Proficiency: Experience with CRM tools, digital marketing strategies, and online lead conversion is a plus.
