Job Description

Job Title: Sales Representative General Surgery (Thailand / Malaysia)

Company: Fastgrowing regional surgical medical device company

Role Overview

We are looking for driven Sales Representatives in Thailand and Malaysia to grow our general surgery portfolio in key hospitals. You will work closely with surgeons and operating theatre (OT) teams, conduct product demonstrations and support cases, while building longterm relationships and driving adoption of innovative surgical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow sales of general surgery products in assigned territory (Thailand or Malaysia), focusing on hospitals and surgical centres.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, OT nurses, procurement, and hospital administrators.
  • Conduct intheatre product demonstrations and case support, including scrubin where required and permitted, ensuring correct device usage and troubleshooting intraop.
  • Plan and execute territory sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities, open new accounts, and expand usage within existing hospitals.
  • Organise and support workshops, surgeon education sessions and product training for OT and clinical staff.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends; provide regular feedback and sales reports to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field; life sciences, nursing, biomedical or related disciplines are an advantage.
  • At least 23 years experience in medical device or hospital sales, ideally in general surgery, OR, or related specialties.
  • Handson exposure to operating theatre environments; experience scrubbing in or closely supporting surgeons in surgery is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining hospital and surgeon relationships, with perseverance and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in Thai (for Thailand role) or Bahasa Malaysia/English (for Malaysia role).
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned country and occasionally work early/late hours for cases and workshops.
