The Role

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This role is responsible for executing to improve accuracy, productivity and service strategies and actions plans to examine existing procedures or opportunities for activities to meet customer needs and company goal together with Regional functional leaders to achieve overall organization's objectives included supporting key tasks, customer service, marketing and operational planning aligned with regional vision and aspirations.

Responsibilities:

As our Sales Support Specialist, you'll be instrumental in delivering speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Sales & Order Management:
    • Manage the entire sales order lifecycle using SAP (SD/MM) and CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) systems, from accurate quote generation to order entry and timely delivery.
    • Ensure pricing integrity and minimize billing discrepancies.
    • Monitor and support the resolution of outstanding accounts receivable issues, working closely with our Finance team.
    • Generate and analyze weekly sales performance, order tracking and pipeline reports to provide valuable insights to management and sales team.
    • Tracking sales record versus sales rebate program/target by quarterly and annually including closely working with customers and our Finance team to ensure we are aligning on the targets.
  • Customer & Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for our distributors and OEM customers regarding product availability, estimated delivery times, documentation, and returns (RMAs).
    • Proactively communicate order status and resolve inquiries, aiming for first-contact resolution.
    • Escalate complex technical queries to our Application Engineering team, providing clear and comprehensive context.
  • Process Improvement & Data Excellence:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve our sales support processes, from quoting to order fulfillment. You'll contribute to our continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain high levels of data accuracy within our CRM (Salesforce or similar) and SAP systems.
    • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales on logistics for events like targeted webinars, roadshows, and trade shows.
  • Team Collaboration & Best Practices:
    • Work collaboratively with peers in Application Engineering, Marketing, and Sales Support across the ASEAN region.
    • Contribute to our regional knowledge base by sharing best practices and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Always uphold Gates high standards for Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), compliance, and our Code of Conduct.

Qualifications:

Requirements and Preferred Skills

(requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.)

  • A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in B2B order management, inside sales, or sales support, ideally within an industrial components environment (e.g., power transmission, MRO, fluid power).
  • Strong proficiency in SAP SD/MM and a CRM system (like Salesforce). Advanced Excel skills are a must. Experience with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) are a significant plus.
  • Fluency in Thai and English is required.
  • Solid understanding of international trade terms like Incoterms 2020, ASEAN customs documentation (Form D), and basic Letter of Credit (LC)/export documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, maintain integrity, think analytically, and manage your time effectively in a multicultural multinational company (MNC) setting.
