SAP FI Lead – Financial Accounting

About the Role
We are currently supporting a leading organisation in Thailand seeking an experienced SAP FI Lead to take functional leadership across its SAP Finance environment.
The successful candidate will bring strong SAP FI / Financial Accounting expertise together with a strong understanding of Finance business processes.
This position will work closely with Finance stakeholders, SAP technical teams, other functional consultants and external partners to design, implement and continuously improve SAP Finance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional leadership across SAP FI
- Work closely with Finance stakeholders to understand business requirements, challenges and priorities
- Translate Finance requirements into effective SAP functional solutions
- Configure, enhance and support SAP FI functionality
- Support financial processes across areas including:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Asset Accounting
- Bank Accounting
- Financial Closing and Reporting
- Lead functional design and produce relevant functional specifications
- Work closely with SAP technical teams on developments, enhancements and integrations
- Support integration between SAP FI and other SAP modules
- Lead or support testing, UAT, defect resolution and deployment activities
- Troubleshoot complex SAP Finance issues and provide functional guidance
- Support SAP implementations, upgrades, migrations and transformation programmes
- Identify opportunities to streamline, standardise and automate Finance processes
- Work with implementation partners and third-party vendors
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior SAP functional consultants
- Ensure SAP Finance solutions remain aligned with business and Finance requirements
Key Requirements
- Strong professional experience with SAP FI / Financial Accounting
- Extensive SAP FI configuration and functional experience
- Strong understanding of Finance and accounting processes
- Experience across key areas such as GL, AP, AR and Asset Accounting
- Experience delivering SAP implementations, enhancements and/or transformation programmes
- Strong understanding of integration between SAP FI and other SAP modules
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into SAP solutions
- Ability to produce functional specifications and work effectively with SAP development teams
- Experience with testing, UAT and production deployment
- Previous experience operating at Lead or Senior SAP FI Consultant level
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to engage effectively with both Finance and Technology stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication skills
