Japanese-Speaking SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant
Contract: 6–9 Months (Extension Possible)
Location: Singapore / Hybrid
We are supporting a global multinational organisation on a strategic SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation programme and are looking for an experienced SAP Finance Consultant to join the project team.
This role will play a key part in delivering finance capabilities for Japan while partnering with regional and global stakeholders across a complex enterprise environment. The successful candidate will contribute to deployment activities, localisation initiatives, business process optimisation and solution delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
What You'll Be Working On
- Partner with business and project stakeholders to deliver SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions supporting APAC finance transformation initiatives.
- Lead and advise on Japan-specific finance localisation requirements, ensuring alignment with local statutory, tax and regulatory requirements.
- Provide functional expertise across core Finance processes, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and Central Payment.
- Support solution design, fit-gap analysis, configuration validation, testing, UAT and post-deployment activities.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration between SAP Finance and related business processes.
- Troubleshoot functional issues, recommend improvements and support successful project delivery.
What We're Looking For
- At least 10 years of SAP Finance consulting experience, covering both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Proven experience delivering multiple end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.
- Strong functional knowledge of SAP Finance processes, particularly Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, financial closing and reporting.
- Hands-on experience supporting Japan finance localisation, including compliance, statutory reporting and tax-related requirements.
- Demonstrated experience working on regional or global transformation programmes involving multiple business units and stakeholders.
- Confident engaging business users, facilitating workshops, performing fit-gap assessments and translating business needs into SAP solutions.
- Good understanding of SAP Finance integration with adjacent functional modules.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global teams, local business users and external implementation partners.
- Professional proficiency in both English and Japanese is highly preferred to support collaboration with stakeholders in Japan.
- SAP S/4HANA Finance certification will be an advantage.
