Job Summary
The SAP Project Manager is responsible for planning, leading, and delivering SAP implementation, enhancement, and upgrade projects. This role ensures that all project activities are executed within scope, timeline, and budget while coordinating with cross-functional teams, business users, consultants, and vendors. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in SAP environments and proven experience in managing end-to-end SAP projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage full-cycle SAP projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource plans in alignment with business goals.
- Coordinate with functional and technical teams (SAP consultants, developers, business users, and vendors) to ensure smooth project execution.
- Oversee project risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Facilitate project meetings, progress updates, and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Monitor project budget, cost control, and resource utilization.
- Support business teams during UAT, go-live, and post-implementation phases.
- Develop project documentation such as project plans, status reports, and post-project evaluations.
- Continuously improve project management processes and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in SAP project management or SAP implementation leadership.
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, Basis)
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure.
- PMP or SAP-related certification is an advantage.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration.
- Familiarity with change management and business process improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
