SAP Technical Lead – ABAP / Basis / BTP

About the Role
We are currently supporting a leading organisation in Thailand that is looking to appoint an experienced SAP Technical Lead to provide technical leadership across its SAP landscape.
This is a senior technical position requiring broad SAP expertise across ABAP, SAP Basis and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
The successful candidate will work across SAP development, platform administration, integration and technical architecture, collaborating closely with functional teams, business stakeholders, developers and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across the organisation's SAP landscape
- Lead and oversee SAP ABAP development, enhancements, customisations and technical solutions
- Provide technical oversight across SAP Basis administration and platform activities
- Support the adoption and development of solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Translate functional and business requirements into appropriate technical solutions
- Review technical designs, developments and integrations to ensure quality and adherence to SAP standards
- Support integration between SAP and wider enterprise applications
- Troubleshoot complex SAP technical, integration, performance and production issues
- Support SAP upgrades, migrations, enhancements and transformation programmes
- Work closely with SAP functional consultants across different modules
- Coordinate technical activities with internal teams, vendors and implementation partners
- Establish and maintain technical development standards and best practices
- Support testing, deployment and production release activities
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to SAP developers and technical team members
- Identify opportunities to improve the performance, scalability and maintainability of the SAP environment
Key Requirements
- Strong professional experience working within SAP technical environments
- Strong experience with SAP ABAP development
- Good knowledge of SAP Basis
- Experience or strong knowledge of SAP BTP
- Broad understanding of SAP architecture and enterprise SAP landscapes
- Experience with SAP integrations and interfaces
- Strong understanding of SAP development standards and technical best practices
- Experience supporting complex SAP implementations, upgrades or transformation programmes
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
- Previous experience leading technical teams, workstreams or SAP projects
- Ability to work effectively across technical and functional teams
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills
