The Document Manager is responsible for document management according to the relevant requirements, rules and guidelines as applied within the project organization. The project documentation manager is support by and directs his team in project documentation management and fulfills his tasks in time and in budget with the necessary quality.

The Document Manager
- Plan, implement, and maintain the project document management infrastructure, including systems such as Aconex, T3, or SAP PLM, access rights, folder structures, and coordination with data ownership managers
- Define, implement, and enforce document management requirements, procedures, and workflows in line with contractual, customer, consultant, and project team obligations (including templates, review, release, submission, and translation processes)
- Develop and maintain the project document management plan, procedures, coding systems, and Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) throughout the project lifecycle
- Create and manage the project document list to monitor documentation milestones, deadlines, status, and compliance with agreed plans
- Coordinate documentation activities with the Project Manager, sub‑project managers, and project team members, including document submission to customers
- Ensure document integrity, IT security, access control, storage, archiving, and recovery for both electronic and hard‑copy records
- Lead and support document controllers or assistants, where required based on project size, including interdisciplinary and multicultural teams
Your Qualifications And Skills To Create a Better Tomorrow
- Relevant university degree in a technical discipline (e.g. engineering), with strong technical and commercial awareness
- More than 10 years experience as a Document Manager on large or turnkey projects, including leadership of document control teams
- Proven expertise in document management systems and tools (e.g. Aconex, MS Office, Windows environments) and managing contractual documentation submissions
- Solid understanding of project management principles, with a structured and independent approach to work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, multicultural project environments and a strong focus on quality and customer outcomes
