Responsibilities:
1.International Employee Compensation Management
- Administer and manage compensation packages for international employees, including expatriates and locally hired foreign employees, across multiple countries within the SEA region.
- Review employment packages, assignment letters, local employment contracts, and compensation documentation to ensure alignment with company policies and local regulations.
- Coordinate payroll administration for international employees, including home-country and host-country payroll where applicable.
- Manage compensation adjustments related to promotions, transfers, annual salary reviews, international assignments, localization, and local employment.
- Manage the employment lifecycle of international employees, including onboarding, assignment, localization, and repatriation where applicable.
- Prepare cost projections, assignment cost estimates, and compensation simulations for international assignments and foreign employee hiring.
2. International Mobility & Employee Support
- Coordinate compensation and benefit arrangements for international assignments, locally hired foreign employees, localization, repatriation, and cross-border transfers.
- Ensure compliance with company mobility policies, employment guidelines, and approval processes.
- Support the design and implementation of international compensation and mobility programs to ensure internal equity and external market competitiveness.
- Serve as the HR focal point for compensation matters related to international employees throughout their employment lifecycle.
- Partner with HR teams across countries to deliver a seamless experience for international employees.
3. Tax & Compliance
- Manage tax equalization, tax protection, hypothetical tax calculations, tax reconciliation, and individual income tax matters for international employees.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and internal Finance teams on tax compliance.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, social security, and statutory benefit requirements for expatriates and locally hired foreign employees.
- Support work permits, visas, immigration processes, and compensation-related documentation.
4. Payroll & Benefits Coordination
- Review payroll inputs, allowances, deductions, and one-time payments for international employees to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Coordinate benefits administration, including insurance, housing, education, relocation, transportation, and other mobility-related programs where applicable.
- Resolve payroll, tax, benefits, and compensation-related inquiries from international employees and internal stakeholders.
5. Budget & Cost Management
- Prepare assignment cost estimates, foreign employee cost analyses, and mobility cost analyses.
- Monitor mobility-related expenses, identify cost optimization opportunities, and provide reports for budgeting and cost control.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for international compensation programs.
6. Policy & Process Improvement
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve international compensation policies, mobility guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
- Review market practices and recommend policy enhancements based on business needs.
- Participate in HR process improvement, HR digitalization initiatives, and HRIS enhancements related to Global Mobility and international workforce management.
- Support system implementation and optimization for international compensation management.
7. Compensation Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare compensation reports, mobility dashboards, and management reports.
- Maintain accurate compensation records and HR databases for international employees.
- Conduct market benchmarking and compensation analysis for expatriates and locally hired foreign employees.
- Analyze compensation trends and provide recommendations to enhance competitiveness, governance, and cost effectiveness.
8. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with HR Business Partners, Payroll, Finance, Legal, Global Mobility teams, overseas subsidiaries, and external service providers.
- Coordinate with regional and corporate HR teams on international assignments and foreign employee cases.
- Support internal and external audits related to international compensation, payroll, and mobility.
- Support compensation benchmarking and policy reviews for international employees.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits, Global Mobility, International Payroll, or Expatriate Management.
- Experience managing expatriate compensation and international assignments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of tax equalization, international payroll, and global mobility policies is preferred.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills.
- Good communication skills in English and Chinese.
- Detail-oriented with strong coordination and problem-solving abilities.
