Role Description The Sea Freight Leader is a full-time, on-site role based in Bangkok, responsible for overseeing and optimizing sea freight operations. This role manages daily coordination of import and export shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, timely bookings, and compliance with international shipping regulations. The Sea Freight Leader collaborates with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to negotiate rates, monitor service performance, and resolve operational issues. The position includes managing a team, guiding workload prioritization, and promoting process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role also requires regular reporting on key performance indicators, cost control, and adherence to GEODIS quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in sea freight operations, including import/export processes, carrier liaison, and international shipping documentation. (BPO)
  • Experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably within a global freight forwarding or transportation environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience supervising or coaching operations teams in a fast-paced setting.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in using logistics or freight management systems (Cargowise) and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery performance.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Thai and additional languages is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Understanding of international trade regulations, Incoterms, and customs requirements is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site in Bangkok and adapt to a multicultural, global business environment.
