We are looking for a Security Automation Engineer to join a globally distributed engineering team. This role plays a critical part in maintaining and enhancing automation services that support security operations at scale.
You will act as the first line of technical support for automation services, primarily within a SOAR environment. The position combines hands-on security troubleshooting (60%) with development and continuous improvement (40%), offering a great opportunity to deepen both operational and engineering expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Triage and debug issues across automation workflows, integrations, and playbooks
- Resolve problems independently using fixes or workarounds where possible
- Escalate complex issues with clear analysis and context
- Contribute code improvements (bug fixes, enhancements, small features)
- Collaborate with SRE/dev teams to improve monitoring, alerting, and system resilience
- Document solutions and support continuous automation and incident response improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
- 6–10 years experience in software development, automation, or technical support roles
- Strong Python skills for scripting and automation
- Experience with API integrations across enterprise/security platforms
- Familiarity with SOAR platforms
- Hands-on experience with debugging, triage, and issue resolution
- Familiar with Git (e.g., GitLab), Jira, and log management tools like Splunk
- Full professional proficiency in English
