Job Summary
BDC is looking for a Security Manager to be based in our Chonburi Data Centre. This role will handle the maintenance of general facilities, security system and landscape ensuring best in class data centres performance and best upkeep building appearance.
Responsibilities:
- Follow proper shift handover and takeover procedures, including clear endorsement of instructions, equipment, and ongoing incidents, and actively participate in daily security briefings
- Conduct regular roving and patrolling duties across the premises, identifying and reporting any safety hazards, damages, or suspicious activities in a timely manner
- Ensure all employees, visitors, and contractors carry valid access credentials, strictly enforcing access control policies within the facility
- Enforce security policies and procedures, including preventing unauthorized access, photography, and any prohibited activities within the data centre
- Monitor and operate CCTV, access control, and biometric systems, ensuring all surveillance equipment is functioning effectively at all times
- Handle, document, and report incidents and accidents, including conducting initial investigations and maintaining accurate daily occurrence logs
- Ensure full compliance with emergency response procedures, including fire safety protocols and participation in emergency drills and situations
- Perform guardhouse operations, including visitor registration, access card issuance, and ensuring proper documentation of all entries and exits
- Verify that all contractors have valid work permits, are properly attired, and comply with safety and site requirements before granting access
- Manage and facilitate traffic flow and logistics movements, ensuring safe entry, exit, and coordination within the premises
- Monitor fire alarm panels and systems, promptly recording and reporting any faults, alarms, or abnormalities
- Maintain and ensure proper usage and functionality of security equipment and communication tools, reporting any defects immediately
- Provide professional customer service to tenants, visitors, and stakeholders, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment
- Coordinate effectively with security vendors, internal teams, and management to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Support administrative duties, including reporting, audit compliance, training participation, and adherence to company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma any field. A valid relevant certificate and/or license.
- Proficient in English through all mediums of communication. Ability to write and review good quality detailed work scripts, methods of procedure, and standard operating procedures.
- At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Confidence, perseverance, excellent interpersonal skills, pleasant working attitude, self-motivated, passionate, strong communication skills and eye for details.
- Proficient in computer applications and software: Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.
