Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Infrastructure Engineer to manage and support enterprise physical security platforms and the underlying IT infrastructure that powers them. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of CCTV, access control, and key management systems across data center and critical infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in Windows Server administration, virtualization, networking, and security systems, with a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support enterprise physical security platforms, including CCTV/Video Management Systems (VMS), Access Control Systems, and Key Management solutions.
- Manage and maintain Windows Server environments supporting security applications, including patching, backups, hardening, monitoring, and system health.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for security platform incidents and infrastructure-related issues.
- Support virtualization environments using VMware vSphere and assist with virtual machine lifecycle management.
- Maintain supporting infrastructure including storage systems, network connectivity, and server resources to ensure high availability.
- Perform network troubleshooting involving IP addressing, VLANs, DNS, routing, firewall dependencies, and connectivity issues affecting security platforms.
- Execute software upgrades, firmware updates, security patches, certificate renewals, and system lifecycle activities.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve reliability, security, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with Security Engineering, Data Center Operations, Facilities, and regional site teams to support deployments, maintenance activities, and incident resolution.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, standard operating procedures, configuration records, and asset inventories.
- Support change management processes and ensure compliance with operational and security standards.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance activities and provide on-call support when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, or Security Infrastructure roles.
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise physical security platforms such as Genetec, Avigilon, Lenel, Traka, or equivalent solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, patch management, system hardening, and server operations.
- Experience with VMware vSphere or other virtualization platforms.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, routing, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting enterprise storage solutions and backup technologies is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting data centers or other critical infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with Dell PowerScale, Pure Storage, NAS technologies, or enterprise storage platforms.
- Knowledge of automation or scripting using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, Security+, Network+, ITIL, or equivalent are an advantage.
