Overall Role Purpose:
Ensure that DHL is the benchmark for security excellence in the air express industry. Initiate, co-ordinate and implement investigations into losses and other security incidents relating to DHL assets, personnel and shipments carried by DHL. Develop, implement and monitor policies, procedures and security practices to safeguard DHL employees and customers shipments, DHL assets and information against loss, damage and incident.
Accountabilities:
DHL Customers
Provide professional security and support
National Operations Manager, Country Management, Hub General manager and HUB Management
Advise country management of any changes and recommended countermeasures
Provide direction, support and advice on security matters
Advise Country Office, HUB and Indochina on any security related changes including to airline security requirements and recommend security practices to ensure policies and business needs are met to specifications.
Advise Country and HUB management team on any crisis management plan in terms of Country Office and HUB operations.
Internal audit and conduct facility audit follow TAPA requirements in Thailand and Indochina.
Case investigation and advise for Indochina country.
Airport of Thailand, Airport Free Zone, Airline Security, Security Vendors, Security Consultants, Private investigators, FM insurance
Source appropriate security vendors and consultants with respect to the purchase of security equipment, undertaking of investigations, etc
Monitor and audit the security services provided and maintain a monthly performance report
Monitor and audit shipments operations based on airline security requirements.
Law Enforcement, Security Officials, Local Authorities & Regulatory Bodies, Security Consultants, Private Investigators
Establish professional liaison to ensure strong links are maintained between DHL and such authorities.
DHL Legal Representatives
Maintain close working relationship.
All DHL Country Office and HUB Staffs
Enlist the support of all DHL staff to ensure that DHL's environment is safe and secure.
Security Managers at other DHL locations
Liaise closely to ensure a cohesive and effective security strategy.
Regional Office
Provide regular updates on security issues.
Ensure compliance to regional security policies and procedures.
Driving Security Excellence
Develop, implement and monitor policies, procedures and security practices to safeguard DHL employees, customers shipments, DHL assets and information against loss, damage or incident.
Co-ordinate country security, HUB activities and ensure compliance of DHL staff and sub-contractors with security procedures as specified in the Regional Security Policy and Procedures Manual.
Conduct security audits (and assist other audit teams e.g. TSP, GSOP), both proactively and reactively to assess the effectiveness of security practices and procedures at country sites.
Co-ordinate the implementation of stipulated and other relevant Security training programmes for Country Office and HUB personnel and in particular DHL specific training programmes such as SAFE.
Conduct Security related investigations and other enquiries as required.
Security related Networking
Developed extensive contacts with Security personnel in a variety of industries, including the airfreight /airline industry as well as local law enforcement and regulatory agencies.< /span>
Develop and maintain extensive internal contacts within DHL as security of the shipment in DHL custody is an end-to-end process.
Security Incident Database - Information Management
Provide input and participate in the reporting of security incidents into the database
Prepare and analyse the database information for the production of regular reports on shipment and other security incidents, including Dangerous Goods. Where appropriate, recommend and initiate actions to investigate and resolve significant security incidents as they occur.
External security analysis
Maintain a current threat and risk analysis by systematic analysis of national and international events and criminal trends.
Preferred Bachelor's Degree or higher
Preferred minimum of 5 years experience in security, experience in Logistic or Aviation business will be advantage
Fluent in English (Both of written and spoken) and Thai Language
Good communication, Interpersonal skill and Team work player
Decision making and Problem solving skills
