Our Beca Seismic Restraint Team
Beca's Seismic Restraint team is an emerging yet leading provider of non-structural seismic engineering consulting services. We deliver a wide range of projects, from small-scale to very large, across various market sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, industrial, and government. Each project we undertake is unique, presenting constantly evolving challenges. Our team thrives on these challenges and is deeply committed to technical innovation that enhances our design solutions and service delivery. Our team is enthusiastic, young, and passionate. We bring a holistic, can-do, and highly collaborative approach to non-structural seismic engineering on every project we work on.
Job Responsibility
- Set up, develop, and produce BIM models using Autodesk Revit for design documentation and coordination purposes.
- Prepare detailed seismic restraint drawings in 2D and 3D to compliance with Beca standards and applicable codes.
- Produce submission and presentation-quality drawings for authority approvals.
- Resolve technical issues and detailing independently, while seeking guidance when necessary.
- Utilize BIM/Revit drafting skills to produce accurate, high-quality drawings that meet project and Beca standards.
- Proactively pursue opportunities to enhance technical drafting and BIM skills.
- Seek specific and constructive feedback to support continuous professional and technical development.
- Actively participate in knowledge and information sharing with team members.
- Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure integrated, coordinated, and constructible design solutions.
Job Qualifications
- Tertiary / Technical Qualification
- Relevant Diploma / Technical qualification. Specialist Diploma in BIM will be preferred.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in an engineering consulting environment or with construction companies.
- Familiarity with codes of practice, relevant regulations and a working knowledge of authority submission and approval procedures.
- Competent user of relevant engineering software (Revit).
- Good English communication and strong computer literacy.
- Demonstrates high responsibility, ability to work under pressure, positive working attitude, and strong collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work closely with technical leaders from diverse disciplines and cultures.
