Job Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Account Manager to drive new customer acquisition and business growth for our Semiconductor Design Services business. The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of experience selling semiconductor engineering services, ASIC/SoC design services, FPGA development, Design Verification, Embedded Software, or related engineering services to semiconductor companies, OEMs, system companies, and technology startups.

This is a hunter role requiring a proven ability to identify opportunities, open new accounts, build executive relationships, and convert prospects into long-term customers.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify, qualify, and acquire new customers in India and global markets.
  • Develop and execute strategic account acquisition plans.
  • Build a strong pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, industry events, and partner ecosystems.
  • Generate qualified opportunities aligned with annual revenue objectives.
  • Create and execute territory growth strategies.

Account Management

  • Build trusted relationships with engineering leaders, procurement teams, and business executives.
  • Understand customer product roadmaps and identify engineering outsourcing opportunities.
  • Develop account plans to increase wallet share and customer engagement.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term retention.

Sales Management

  • Own the complete sales cycle from lead generation through contract closure.
  • Prepare capability presentations, proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), pricing, and commercial negotiations.
  • Coordinate with delivery, engineering, legal, finance, and leadership teams during deal closure.
  • Manage contract renewals and identify opportunities for expansion.

Solution Selling

Work closely with technical teams to position services including:

Market Intelligence

  • Track semiconductor market trends and emerging technologies.
  • Monitor competitors and identify strategic opportunities.
  • Participate in industry conferences, customer seminars, and technology events.

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Maintain CRM hygiene with accurate opportunity tracking.
  • Prepare weekly sales forecasts and pipeline reviews.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Report key performance metrics to management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • 7–10 years of experience in Semiconductor Design Services, EDA, IP, Embedded Engineering Services, or Electronic System Design.
  • Demonstrated success in opening new customer accounts.
  • Strong network within semiconductor companies, OEMs, and technology organizations.
  • Experience selling engineering services with deal sizes ranging from USD 100K to USD 5M+ annually.
  • Strong understanding of ASIC/SoC development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor design methodologies and engineering engagement models.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage CXOs, VPs of Engineering, Directors, and Procurement leaders.
