The Chartered Accountant will lead the finance, accounting and tax functions in Thailand, ensuring full compliance with local statutory requirements and alignment with Beca group policies and Beca global best practices.
The role serves as the key technical authority for accounting and tax matters, overseeing month-end and year-end close, strengthening governance and driving accurate and timely financial reporting.
This position is responsible for stabilizing and improving core finance operations (AR, AP, GL, VAT, WHT, and project accounting), resolving invoicing and compliance issues and building in-house capability to reduce reliance on external advisors.
About You
Responsible for management and statutory reporting requirements and the coordination of any relevant tax compliance activities
Responsible for the development of business plans
Supervise the preparation of management accounting reports and provide analysis and commentary
Coordinate and maintain financial/management accounts and general ledger systems
Contribute to the preparation of year end audit files
Establish and maintain effective accounting controls and systems
Ensure the security of financial systems and integrity of audit trails
Prepare statutory returns
Provide on-going education and support to Job Directors and Managers on financial management processes and tools
Provide pricing support for bids if required
Work with the Finance team and motivate to encourage innovative thinking, develop new ideas/approaches and promote One Beca
Communicate positively and effectively ensuring that team members, Managers and clients are consistently well informed about progress and timelines
Act as a recognised expert internally, providing specialist knowledge and advice
Provide support and advice to senior managers in finance related areas in order to achieve overall business performance targets and avoid risk
Deliver operational excellence by managing complex finance matters and contribute towards the achievement of the overall business strategy and business plans
Maintain high standards of professionalism and identify opportunities for innovation based on experience and knowledge of the business
Drive quality, excellence, and efficiency through the identification of viable process improvements
Promote and manage the sharing of knowledge and information
Pro-actively contribute to growing Beca's profile in the wider industry. Build trust, relationships and networks internally and externally with key clients and partners. Participate with industry and professional bodies
Demonstrate leadership and coaching skills to inspire and motivate finance staff to achieve organisational objectives
Encourage excellent team performance through specific and constructive feedback
Add value to projects through expert specialist input, drawing on significant experience
Possess an understanding of relevant markets
Mentor and coach junior peers across the discipline and delegate appropriately
Relevant tertiary qualification in business or related area of study
Significant knowledge and experience in tax legislation, accounting standards and compliance issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills
CPA or Chartered
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong time management skills
