Job Description

Our client, a well-established International Education Group, is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their Finance team.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will be responsible for supporting the full spectrum of accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial information in accordance with statutory requirements and IFRS accounting standards.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in monthly financial closing, reconciliations, tax submissions, intercompany accounting, cash flow analysis, budgeting and forecasting, while also supporting the Head of Finance with audit, process improvement, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee monthly accounting, closing, reconciliations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance in line with IFRS.
  • Manage tax submissions, cash flow analysis, billing, receipts, AR/AP, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial performance analysis.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support interim and year-end audit activities.
  • Partner with affiliated schools and internal stakeholders on reconciliations, internal charges, and reporting requirements.
  • Drive finance process improvements, automation, D365 enhancements, and AI initiatives.
  • Assist the Head of Finance with team supervision, training, ad-hoc reporting, and day-to-day finance operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline; ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience, preferably within an international or multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting, tax, month-end closing, reconciliations, and audit processes.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, intercompany accounting, and management reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly D365, and exposure to automation or AI initiatives is an advantage.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience supervising or supporting Finance teams preferred.
