Are you a hands-on finance professional with solid HR coordination experience who enjoys working close to the business We are looking for a Senior Accountant / HR Coordinator to own the full local finance and HR agenda for our Thailand entity and act as a key partner to local, regional, and Group management.
About the role
As Senior Accountant / HR Coordinator, you will be responsible for end-to-end local finance operations and HR coordination in Thailand. You will manage financial planning, closing, statutory reporting, tax and audit coordination, treasury, and internal controls, while also overseeing payroll, HR administration, and legal compliance matters.
You will operate as a hands-on business partner, strengthening processes and controls, providing clear financial insight, and supporting the profitable growth of the Thailand business. The role works closely with local management in Thailand, APAC Finance, and Group Finance in Denmark.
Key responsibilities
Finance
- Lead the annual budget process, maintain rolling forecasts, and prepare financial outlooks for revenue, contribution margin, SG&A, working capital, and cash flow.
- Analyze monthly and year-to-date performance against budget and forecast, explain key variances, and recommend corrective actions to the Managing Director and APAC Finance before submission to Group Finance in Denmark.
- Prepare and present quarterly financial performance, forecast updates, risks, and key business drivers to HQ and APAC management.
- Act as finance business partner to local management, supporting pricing, cost control, profitability analysis, investment decisions, and operational performance improvements.
- Own the month-end and year-end closing process, including review of trial balance, journals, accruals, provisions, revenue recognition, cost classification, and management reporting packages.
- Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and compliant with Thai statutory requirements, Group accounting policies, and applicable reporting standards.
- Review and approve journal entries, accounting transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable aging, customer collections, supplier payments, credit exposure, and related foreign exchange revaluations.
- Maintain fixed asset records, capitalization controls, depreciation, disposals, and periodic reconciliations.
- Coordinate and oversee physical inventory counts, stock valuation, slow-moving and obsolete inventory reviews, and related write-off or write-back proposals.
- Coordinate statutory audit, tax filings, VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax, and other local compliance requirements with external auditors, tax advisors, and authorities.
- Maintain strong internal controls over cash, banking, payments, approvals, master data, segregation of duties, and documentation in line with Group policies.
- Liaise with banks for domestic and international fund transfers, cash management, account administration, bank mandates, and corporate documentation updates.
- Maintain and coordinate BOI registration and reporting where applicable.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, reporting quality, D365 usage, documentation, and cross-functional workflows.
HR, Administration and Legal Coordination
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes with management, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, offer preparation, and onboarding support.
- Prepare, maintain, and coordinate employment contracts, contract amendments, employee letters, personnel files, and other HR documentation in line with company policy and Thai labor requirements.
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs, social security matters, personal income tax documentation, and interactions with payroll providers where applicable.
- Track and maintain records of annual leave, sick leave, public holidays, overtime, and other absences in accordance with company policy and local legislation.
- Administer employee benefits, including insurance, health check-ups, and other locally applicable programs.
- Maintain accurate employee master data and HR records in D365 or other relevant HR and ERP systems.
- Support implementation of Group and local HR policies, employee handbook updates, and people-related processes for the Thailand entity.
- Coordinate with external partners, including payroll providers, insurance brokers, health check providers, legal advisors, company secretary providers, and government agencies.
- Maintain corporate and legal documentation, support company registration or statutory filing processes, and ensure proper record-keeping for local governance requirements.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; professional accounting qualification or Thai CPA exposure is preferred.
- 7–10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferably in a multinational, manufacturing, trading, or industrial business environment.
- Strong knowledge of Thai statutory accounting, tax compliance, VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax, payroll-related statutory matters, and audit processes.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, working capital management, inventory control, and financial analysis.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft D365, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to present financial results, forecasts, risks, and recommendations clearly to local management, APAC Finance, and Group Finance.
- Good understanding of HR administration, payroll coordination, employment documentation, and Thai labor compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills in Thai and English, and ability to work effectively with local, regional, and Group stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, ownership, and professionalism.
- Structured, analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Proactive, hands-on, improvement-oriented mindset, with the confidence to challenge, escalate, and resolve issues constructively.
