WORKING LOCATION: BANG SUE, BANGKOK
Responsibilities
Reporting & Accounting
Responsible for the preparation, review and ownership of our Thailand books:
- Month-end and Year-end Closing & Group Reporting: Preparation of closing for Thailand 2 entities (operating and holding)
- Statutory Compliance: Preparation of financial statement for 2 Thailand entities & coordination with auditors for yearly statutory audit and annual stock take
- Accounting: Ensuring complete accuracy/reliability in accounting including consistency in accounting practices/ process to Group / Local statutory accounting rules.
- Assist in internal audit and implementation of corrective actions
- Manage and review inter-company reconciliation and confirmation
Treasury & Banking relationship
- Ensuring fund availability based on forecast
- Coordination with bankers for bank guarantees, loan drawdowns and repayments, and other relevant matters
Operations & Financial Projects
- Working closely with operations (Thailand Country Manager, Sales administration, Sales team, Asia management team and other relevant stakeholders).
- Responsible to follow, build, improve and managing streamlined financial systems in Thailand.
- Make and implement recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures.
- Assist in providing relevant information in budgeting, financial forecasting and cash flow management.
- Actively participate in and contribute to project and system implementations
- Perform any finance-related ad hoc tasks required by management pertaining to Thailand businesses
- Cover the Finance Manager on daily operations when on leave, away or incapacitated
Taxation
Responsible for Tax compliance for Thailand.
- Reporting of statutory compliances per entity (Income tax, withholding tax, VAT, annual filing / audit).
- Coordination with Tax agents in Thailand to ensure required data is provided to tax agents/consultants and timely compliance done.
- Coordinate with Tax consultants to manage the tax litigation and take required action with the Finance Manager on litigation.
- Ensure compliance with Transfer pricing and yearly documentation with tax consultant and HQ team.
Requirements
- Good command of English
- Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a similar capacity
- Dual experience in MNC and SME environments will be highly advantageous
- Prior experience in full set account
- SAP B1 experience is preferred but not mandatory
