Key Responsibilities
1) Planning & Negotiation – BG Portfolio & BG-Spectrum
- Own portfolio planning and forward-looking management of BG exposures (BG-BAU & BG-Spectrum), including facility availability, outstanding/expiry pipeline, return schedule, and utilization planning to support business needs and management decisions.
- Lead BG-Spectrum planning and scenario analysis (e.g., spectrum obligations/bidding), including estimating BG requirements and consolidating bank proposals, assumptions, and constraints.
- Identify and execute BG optimization initiatives (e.g., fee reduction, portfolio clean-up/return strategy, minimizing expired BG fee leakage) and track benefits through closure.
- Maintain governance trackers action logs (owners/timelines/decisions) to ensure disciplined follow-up and closure.
- Proactively monitor and execute all information undertakings and reporting obligations as specified in current banking agreements to ensure continuous regulatory and contractual compliance across the bank guarantee portfolio.
2) Monitor & Review: BG-BAU Operations (Execution & Controls)
- Monitor and review end-to-end BG execution (issuance, amendments, renewals, return/termination) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across banks, beneficiaries, and internal stakeholders.
- Review BG documentation/application packs and enforce document control, quality standards, as well as authorized signatory as per Authority Matrix.
- Interface strategically with relationship banks and/or internal stakeholders to expedite the execution of bank guarantees, ensuring seamless delivery for high-priority internal stakeholder requirements.
- Monitor outstanding/expiry guarantees and proactively follow-up to release/return expired BGs and close open items.
- Maintain BAU trackers and escalation logs, and provide periodic status updates to relevant stakeholders.
3) AI, Automation & Process Improvement (Funding/BG)
- Support the team's AI/automation roadmap (e.g., Copilot Studio/AI agents, knowledge base use cases).
- Drive process improvements across Funding Management (e.g., documentation tracking, workflow simplification, reducing manual steps).
- Support SAP enablement for BG data/operations, including migration from offline trackers and enabling mass upload/structured contract creation where relevant.
- Implement/support lightweight automation (e.g., Power Automate flows/alerts) aligned with team priorities.
4) Ad Hoc Projects – Funding / Cashflow / Treasury (as assigned)
- Support assigned projects on fundraising, cashflow/liquidity, and broader treasury activities, including tracker preparation, market analysis, stakeholder coordination, and execution readiness.
- Support Treasury Center (TC) and International Business Center (IBC) workstreams, including milestone preparation supports, tracking, coordination, and progress reporting.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related fields; CFA (any level) is preferred but not required.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a large corporate finance/treasury function, with direct exposure to funding, bank guarantee (BG), liquidity, or related treasury operations.
- Strong relationship management capability with banks and financial institutions; experience coordinating proposals/terms, documentation, and multi-stakeholder execution is preferred.
- Solid understanding of BG lifecycle processes and controls (issuance, amendment, renewal, return/termination) and strong attention to detail in documentation and governance.
- Proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint; familiarity with SAP and process automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Copilot/AI tools) is an advantage.
