Position Title:

Senior Associate – SAP Finance

Primary Purpose

The Senior Associate – SAP Finance is responsible for delivering high-quality SAP Finance solutions by aligning business requirements with SAP capabilities across the Zoetis enterprise. This role involves full-cycle project execution, enhancements, support, testing, and compliance while working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. The position focuses on innovation, adherence to global best practices, and support for finance transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver SAP Finance Projects & Enhancements
• Lead implementation, rollout, and support for SAP Finance modules (FI, CO, FSCM), ensuring alignment with project timelines, quality standards, and business objectives.
• Design and Configure Finance Solutions
• Provide expert configuration and solution design for modules like General Ledger, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Intercompany, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, etc.
• WRICEF Development and Integration
• Identify and design WRICEF objects ensuring seamless integration with cross-functional systems and external applications.
• Testing and Compliance
• Perform end-to-end testing (Unit, Integration, Regression) and support SOX, statutory reporting, and tax compliance requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with business users, internal audit, SOX, and IT teams to gather requirements, implement scalable solutions, and promote global process standardization.

Organizational Relationships

• Collaborates with business stakeholders to gather requirements and align SAP solutions to business processes.
• Works with implementation partners and external vendors on system integrations.
• Engages with developers and other IT team members to resolve challenges and deliver integrated solutions.
• Interacts with finance, audit, compliance, and operations teams to ensure alignment and compliance.

Education and Experience

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant preferred.

Experience:

• 8+ years of SAP Finance and domain experience with hands-on S/4HANA implementation.
• Strong expertise in SAP FI, CO, FSCM, and integration with other SAP modules and external applications.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences industry preferred.
• Proven ability to lead workshops, fit/gap analysis, and deliver high-quality solutions.

Technical Skills Requirements

• SAP Configuration Expertise in FI Modules:
• General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting
• Intercompany transactions and reconciliation
• Controlling (CO) Module Knowledge:
• Cost Elements, Cost Centers, Profit Center Accounting
• Product Costing, Material Ledger
• Familiarity With Edge Systems and Compliance Tools:
• Closing Cockpit, DRC/e-invoicing, Vertex/One Source (tax engines), Lease/Service Management
• WRICEF and Technical Documentation:
• Proficient in identifying functional specs, working with ABAP developers, and writing user stories.
• Integration & Testing Skills:
• Ability to run and manage multiple levels of testing phases (Unit, Integration, Regression).

Physical Position Requirements

• Work Hours: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM EST (ICC Second Shift)
• Location: Hyderabad, India (Zoetis International Capability Center)
• Flexibility: Occasional extended hours or weekend work during go-live or critical support periods
• Travel: Occasional, depending on project demands (approx. 10–20%)
