About The Role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst to act as the critical bridge between senior business leadership and our data engineering and technology teams. You will work directly with Directors and VPs to capture requirements, manage delivery expectations, surface dependencies early, and ensure the development team has everything it needs to execute. The ideal candidate brings deep analytical rigour, confident stakeholder communication, and hands-on expertise in SQL and Power BI.
- Partner with Directors and VPs to elicit, clarify, and document complex business requirements with precision.
- Manage stakeholder expectations on delivery timelines, proactively communicating risks, blockers, and milestones.
- Identify and highlight cross-functional dependencies, ensuring all teams have the information needed to proceed.
- Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements in the form of BRDs and FRDs.
- Work with large datasets using SQL to extract, validate, and derive meaningful business insights.
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Translate business requirements into clear data models and reporting specifications for the development team.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across multiple systems and reporting surfaces.
- Present findings, trends, and recommendations in a clear, actionable manner to senior audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams — IT, data engineering, and operations — to align on delivery.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the data and reporting landscape.
Required Qualifications
- 10–15 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a closely related role within data or technology programmes
- Strong hands in SQL for data extraction, validation, and analysis across large datasets
- Proficiency in Power BI — dashboard design, data modelling, DAX, and delivering reporting solutions for business users
- Demonstrated experience in requirement gathering, documentation, and producing BRDs and FRDs
- Strong stakeholder management skills — comfortable engaging with and influencing Directors and VP-level leaders
- Proven ability to manage delivery timelines, surface dependencies, and coordinate across engineering and business teams
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with an ability to work with ambiguous, complex business challenges
