Introduction - The Strategic Value of the GCC Product Owner

The recruitment of Product Owners is an important milestone in the organization's journey toward sustainable, global innovation. By generalizing the role while tailoring it to the specific technological and cultural nuances of the company, the organization aims to attract top-tier talent capable of driving the next generation of DAM solutions.

The Product Owner acts as the cornerstone of the squad, ensuring that the strategic vision of global Product Managers is translated into valuable capabilities and enterprise-grade code. This requires a unique blend of technical authority, agile mastery, and a commitment to the Bynder Operating Principles.

About The Role

Bynders mission is to inspire brands to thrive through exceptional content experiences. As a Product Owner, you will be at the heart of this mission. This role is not just about managing assets; it is about building the foundational technology that allows the worlds most recognizable brands to conquer the complexity and chaos of proliferating content.

The Product Owner serves as the tactical engine for a cross-functional agile squad, working in close collaboration with Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers. This is an execution-focused role where the individual represents the voice of the customer within the development team, ensuring that user needs are understood and addressed through high-quality product increments. By fostering an environment of transparent communication and continuous improvement, the Product Owner drives the team toward maximizing value delivery and supporting the organization's global success.

What You'll Be Doing to Drive Impact

  • Own the Backlog: Translate the high-level strategic vision and roadmap provided by Product Managers into actionable requirements and user stories. Maintain and prioritize a healthy backlog that aligns with strategic goals and enterprise-grade standards.
  • Act as the Engineering Sparring Partner: Serve as the primary point of contact for the engineering team on all product-related questions. Confidently discuss the why of the capabilities that are being developed, discuss technical trade-offs, and challenge proposals to ensure every development is optimized for value delivery, performance, scalability, and security.
  • Set priorities for development cycles: Facilitate sprint planning sessions to set clear objectives and determine priorities for development cycles.
  • Ensure Quality and Reliability: Identify and mitigate technical debt, edge cases, and potential failure points within your platform area. Inspect the product increments produced by the team, validating they meet established acceptance criteria and deliver the intended business value.
  • Bridge the Communication Gap: Act as the key liaison between the development team and internal stakeholders. Effectively communicate product goals, progress, and technical complexities to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring alignment across the global product organization.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Actively seek and provide constructive feedback to facilitate the teams growth. Leverage data-driven insights to make informed decisions and take calculated risks that challenge the status quo.

What You Bring: The Essential Skills

  • Proven Product Ownership: At least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner in a high-growth SaaS environment. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams from discovery to delivery of initiatives.
  • Technical Literacy and Authority: A strong understanding of modern technology stacks, cloud-native architectures, and API-first principles. You are comfortable diving into technical details and can translate between business needs and engineering constraints.
  • Agile Mastery: Deep proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and experience managing product backlogs using tools like Jira or Productboard.
  • Analytical Mindset: The ability to break down complex problems into small, manageable increments of value. You utilize data and KPIs to inform your decisions and prioritize the backlog based on business and user impact.
  • Exceptional Communication: The skill to articulate a clear vision and provide precise instructions to development teams while managing the expectations of diverse stakeholders.
  • Cultural Alignment: An entrepreneurial spirit, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to the Bynder Operating Principles.

Nice to Have

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in the Digital Asset Management (DAM), MarTech, or AdTech ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning applications in a product context, such as automated metadata enrichment or agentic workflows.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO).
