Job Description for Sr. Business Central Developer

Overall

Highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365

Business Central (BC) to lead the design, development, and optimization of ERP solutions. This

role requires deep technical expertise in AL programming, a strong understanding of business

processes, and the ability to collaborate across departments and customer(s) to deliver

scalable, high-impact solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Development

o Architect and develop custom extensions and integrations within Business

Central using AL and related technologies.

o Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable

solutions.

o Optimize performance, usability, and maintainability of existing BC

implementations.

ERP Strategy & Leadership

o Serve as a technical consultant on Business Central projects, guiding junior

developers and collaborating with functional consultants.

o Evaluate and recommend best practices, tools, and frameworks to enhance

Business Central and DSVC Add-0ns capabilities.

o Stay current with Microsoft's roadmap and proactively assess implications for

the organization.

Integration & Automation

o Design and implement integrations with external systems (e.g., Power Platform,

Azure Functions, third-party APIs).

o Automate workflows and data exchanges to improve operational efficiency.

Support & Maintenance

o Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Business Central

environments and DSVC Add-ons

o Monitor On-Premises databases health, perform upgrades, and ensure

compliance and optimum efficiency of the code

Required Qualifications

6+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central.

Proficiency in Dynamics NAV development.

Proficiency in AL language and Visual Studio Code.

Strong understanding of ERP modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, etc.).

Experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate).

Familiarity with DevOps practices and version control (e.g., Git).

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
