About the Role
Big C is looking for a dynamic Senior Buyer (Grocery) to lead category strategies, drive supplier negotiations, and optimize assortment to deliver strong sales and margin performance.
Job Description:
- To execute dry food grocery category strategy, assortment, pricing & promotions
- Analyze trends, performance, and customer insights to grow the business
- Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, trade terms & promotions
- Manage supplier relationships and evaluate performance
- Collaborate with Supply Chain & Operations to ensure availability and execution
- Explore new products and private label opportunities
Qualifications:
- 4+ years in buying/category management (Grocery/FMCG wholesales preferred)
- Strong negotiation & analytical skills
- Experience driving sales, margins & category growth
- Excellent communication and crossfunctional collaboration
- Data-driven, agile, and passionate about retail trends
- Bachelor's degree required; English proficiency is a plus
