Responsibilities
- Execute assigned work in accordance with the Project Execution Plan, applicable Project Procedures and Standards, including Safety and Quality Control
- Execute assigned work within the man - hour and cost budgets and project schedule targets
- Preparing civil / structural engineering design calculations and documents
- Preparing technical specifications for review and approval
- Preparing Material take off for cost estimate
- Ensure that the quality of design calculations and drawings produced are in accordance with the Project Execution Plan, applicable Project Procedures and Standards, Safety and Quality Control
- Visiting job - sites to evaluate site, project requirements and conditions
- Liaise with the Project Co-ordinating Engineer regarding the interpretation of Clients Specifications and Standards and prepare or assist in the preparation of Clients Specifications and Standards for design, materials and construction
- Review the project execution schedule developed by the Cost and Planning Department and to develop the detailed schedule for Civil Engineering and Design activities
- Responsible for administration and immediate direction of civil engineering and design on a project
- Participate in design and checking work as required
- Prepare requisitions for sub-contracts and procurement of materials and submit sub-contract requisitions to the Chief Engineer for review and approval before issue
- Perform technical audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Prefer a Class II Civil registered / licensed Engineer in Thailand
- A min of 7 years of relevant Civil/Structural engineering design - preferably in Petrochemical Plant, Refinery and Power Plant
- Experience with Staad Pro software package
- Experience and knowledgeable in various international design codes, i.e., ACI, AISC, British Standards, Euro Code, IBC, API, UBC, JIS, etc.
- Experience in the design of steel structure, heavy foundation, equipment foundation, concrete tabletop structures, blast - resistant structures, and dynamic analysis of machinery foundations, etc.
- Proficiency and experience in the use of STAADPro and other internationally recognized commercial structural/civil engineering software is required
- Experience in advanced finite element analysis (both linear and non - linear) in structural engineering
- Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful and proactive
- Excellent report writing, communication and presentation skill and ability to interface with client
- Very good in using MS Office
- Good communication in English (Listening / Reading / Speaking / Writing)
- Able to work under pressure
- Flexible, diligent & productive
