Senior Consultant - Treasury Reporting

Job Purpose:

This role is part of the global treasury department and supports the finance transformation project for treasury aspects. The position involves managing day-to-day treasury operations, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements under the direction of the Director Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing the treasury function.

2. Prepare and regularly update cash flow forecasts.

3. Manage global working capital levels to ensure optimal investment returns.

4. Administer treasury settlement processes, including loan repayments, FX deals, and manual payments through treasury systems and banking platforms.

5. Compile and reconcile bank balances on a periodic basis.

6. Oversee bank account administration, including account opening/closing, KYC updates, and signatory changes.

7. Work with accounting teams to determine the appropriate accounting treatment for transactions, including hedge accounting.

8. Support the month-end close process and address queries from accounting teams.

9. Manage compliance with regulatory requirements, including RBI and other central bank guidelines.

10. Assist with internal and external audit queries and confirmations.

11. Liaise with external stakeholders such as Bank Relationship Managers, Bank Traders, auditors, and legal teams for documentation and regulatory requirements.

12. Participate in and contribute to process improvement initiatives led by the Treasury team.

13. Support other projects as directed by senior management.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. CA with 3-5 years of post articleship experience in Treasury Reporting and Operations.

2. Proficiency in treasury management systems and banking platforms.

3. Knowledge of hedge accounting, FX transactions, and cash flow forecasting.

4. Strong understanding of RBI guidelines and other central bank requirements

5. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

6. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
